Thailand Offers Visa-Free Entry to Indian Visitors for Up to 60 Days
Thailand has announced visa-free entry for Indian nationals, extending the policy indefinitely. Indian visitors can now stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days, with an option to extend.
Thailand has recently announced that Indian visitors will now have visa-free entry into the country for up to 60 days. This new policy, which was set to expire on November 11, 2024, has been extended indefinitely, allowing Indian tourists to enjoy a longer stay in the popular vacation destination.
Previously, obtaining a Thai visa involved various fees and documentation, along with waiting periods. However, the elimination of documentation has led to a significant increase in the number of Indian tourists visiting Thailand, totaling around 16.17 million between January and mid-October of 2024.
The visa-free travel initiative has also resulted in a surge in impromptu weekend bookings, making travel to Thailand more accessible for Indian travelers. This move by the Thai government follows a similar policy implemented by Malaysia, further enhancing Southeast Asia's appeal as a top vacation destination for Indian tourists.
