The Delhi Public Works Department has finally approved the plan to double the one-way Savitri Cinema Flyover in South Delhi, which is expected to ease traffic congestion in the area.

The Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) has given the green light to double the one-way Savitri Cinema Flyover along Outer Ring Road in South Delhi. The project, which has been delayed for several years, aims to add a carriage towards Nehru Place and is expected to begin soon. Once completed, the expanded flyover is expected to ease traffic around Chittaranjan Park, Greater Kailash, and Nehru Place. However, the construction work, which is estimated to last at least a year, will severely disrupt traffic along the arterial road connecting South, South-West, and South-East Delhi and is a popular route to the airport.
