Delhi Government introduces 'Anywhere Registration' policy to allow property transactions at any sub-registrar office in the city, streamlining the registration process and reducing delays.
The Delhi government has implemented the 'Anywhere Registration' policy, enabling property transactions at all 22 sub-registrar offices in the city. This new policy eliminates the need for citizens to visit specific offices, allowing them to book appointments online at any office. Chief Minister Atishi stated that the policy aims to address challenges faced by residents during property registration. With 22 sub-registrar offices across Delhi, the system registers various documents annually, promoting transparency and reducing corruption. This initiative also offers flexibility to residents in choosing convenient offices for property registration. Earlier in April 2023, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena directed the government to declare Delhi as a single district for property registration, safeguarding citizens from touts and ensuring hassle-free registration processes.
