Akshay Kumar's Quest to Uncover India's Untold Stories of Valour

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar aims to bring out the untold stories of valour from Punjab and across India on the big screen. His latest film, Kesari Chapter 2, delves into the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, showcasing the bravery and loyalty of the people of Punjab.

Akshay Kumar, known for his patriotic roles, is set to continue his exploration of India's history with his upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2. The actor, at the trailer launch event of the movie, expressed his desire to showcase the stories of courage and valour from Punjab and all across India. He emphasized the need to bring out the actual history of India, which has often been overlooked or misrepresented in the British-written history books.

Kesari Chapter 2 is the sequel to the 2019 film Kesari, which depicted the Battle of Saragarhi. The new film will narrate the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the legal battle fought by lawyer C Sankaran Nair against the British Empire in the 1920s.

Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the movie stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role and also features actors R Madhavan and Ananya Panday. The film aims to shed light on a dark chapter in Indian history and seeks to demand an apology from the British Empire through the narrative of Sankaran Nair's brave fight in the courtroom.

Kesari Chapter 2, scheduled for release on April 18, is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The movie promises to provide a gripping portrayal of the events surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the subsequent legal battle that ensued, offering viewers a glimpse into a significant period in India's struggle for independence.
